What is the Yeshiva Behind ChanceX12 All About?
Chinuch is so much more than the sum total of academic successes. It’s about helping students to develop into productive, confident adults prepared to assume their rightful role as shining members of Klal Yisroel. It was upon these fundamental principles that Mesivta Shaarei Adirim was founded.
At Mesivta Shaarei Adirim in Chicago, Talmidim are recognized for their strengths. Through a unique curriculum designed for every boy to shine, the Yeshiva offers a variety of courses to help students develop their skills and talents.
Providing non-academic opportunities alongside the traditional curriculum, students learn skills like acrobatics, wood-working, music, photography, cooking, auto-mechanics and more. Through interactive sessions, they build their own desks, train with world-class coaches to learn acrobatics, and take elective courses in non-academic areas they enjoy.
But these courses are not arbitrarily chosen as fun and unique outlets. Each program is carefully cultivated to help boys develop life skills in specific areas, including physical strength, teamwork, and self-confidence. The prism used to decide what programs to bring to the yeshiva is asking the question: what is the growth? Because with the requisite confidence that comes with mastering a skill, comes the confidence to master in all areas of life.
The growth that the Talmidim experience from these extracurricular activities transfers to the classroom and Beis Medrash as well. Under the leadership of Rabbi Mordechai Elbaum, Rosh Hamesivta, Rabbi Avroham Yitzchak Ausband Rosh Yeshiva, and Rabbi Shlomo Caplan, General Studies Principal, Talmidim excel both in Limud HaTorah as well as their academic performance. In addition to Gemara, Mishnayos, and Chumash, and a robust Limudei Kodesh curriculum, the Talmidim learn the full gamut of general studies subjects, and are able to earn a full high school diploma recognized by the State of Illinois. Everything the Yeshiva offers its Talmidim propels the Bochurim toward growth– both in the classroom and beyond.
“Bochurim who leave our yeshiva will have what it takes to be successful in life. Some will sit and learn with and some will be Koveah Ittim, they’ll get a job and know what their responsibilities are when taking care of a family. They’ll have it together. Not everything that Hashem sends us is in our control. Our chiyuv is to be mechanech our bochurim and give them the tools to be successful, with whatever abilities they were given,” says Rabbi Elbaum.
After their time at Mesivta Shaarei Adirim, the Talmidim leave empowered with the skills, tools, and confidence to live enriching and Torahdig lives.
That’s why, in order to raise the necessary funds in order to continue its vital work, the yeshiva rolled out this unique raffle campaign.
It’s a win-win. Sign up today and give a boy a chance with ChanceX12!
